本日配信されたPlayStation State of Playにおいて、『ヒットマン』シリーズの開発元IO Interactiveによる次期ジェームズ・ボンド作品、『007 First Light』（2026年発売予定）の初の詳細が明らかになりました。

同作のシネマティックトレーラーでは、エージェントとしてのキャリアの幕開けに立つ、若き日のジェームズ・ボンドが紹介されました。

また、『ウォーキング・デッド』で知られるレニー・ジェームズが重要な脇役を演じることが本プレビューで確認されました。

『007 First Light』のトレーラーは、今回のボンドがわずか11歳のときに、自身を救うために命を落とした両親の死を、登山中の事故で目撃したことを明かしています。その後、若きボンドは単身で山を下りることに成功しました。

IO Interactiveによるボンド・プロジェクトは、2020年にコードネーム「Project 007」として初めて発表されましたが、それ以来、詳細な情報はほとんど明らかにされていませんでした。同スタジオは当初から、既存の映画プロットを直接翻案するのではなく、独自のオリジンストーリーを構築していると述べていました。
