La présentation PlayStation State of Play d'aujourd'hui a offert notre premier aperçu détaillé de 007 First Light, le prochain titre de James Bond du développeur de Hitman, IO Interactive, dont la sortie est prévue pour 2026.

Une bande-annonce cinématique pour le jeu a présenté un nouveau James Bond, jeune et au tout début de sa carrière d'agent secret.

L'aperçu a également confirmé la participation de Lennie James, star de The Walking Dead, qui jouera un rôle de soutien clé dans l'histoire.

La bande-annonce de 007 First Light révèle que cette incarnation de James Bond a vu ses parents mourir à l'âge de seulement 11 ans lors d'un accident d'escalade, où ils se sont sacrifiés pour le sauver. Le jeune Bond a ensuite réussi à descendre la montagne seul.

Le projet Bond d'IO Interactive a été révélé initialement en 2020 sous le nom de code Project 007, avec peu de détails dévoilés depuis. Dès le début, le studio a déclaré qu'il créait une histoire d'origine originale, sans adapter directement l'intrigue d'un film existant.

Plus récemment, le PDG d'IO Interactive, Hakan Abrak, a exprimé l'espoir que 007 First Light lance une nouvelle trilogie de jeux. Cependant, cet accent a temporairement mis en pause le développement de la série Hitman très appréciée. Il a également été confirmé ce mois d'avril dernier qu'en plus du PC, de la PlayStation et de la Xbox, le jeu sortira également sur la prochaine génération de console Switch 2 de Nintendo.
