Inicialmente, tus marcadores de misión no te llevarán directamente al centro Slag Heap. Avanzar en la historia principal es clave. Completar la misión "Las respuestas tienen un precio" desbloquea la ubicación del Montón de Escoria, después de visitar el Centro de Detención y el Laboratorio y conocer a Scar.

Sin embargo, puedes explorar el montón de escoria antes: está situado al norte del laboratorio. Este centro cuenta con dos comerciantes valiosos.
