Simply connect an ELM327-compatible Bluetooth or WiFi adapter to your vehicle's OBD2 port. Piston provides step-by-step setup guidance accessible from the Home screen after installation or anytime via Settings.

Important: Piston requires separate ELM327-compatible Bluetooth/WiFi hardware to function as a full diagnostic tool. Compatible with OBD-II/OBD2 and EOBD standards.

OBD2 compliance has been mandatory for all US-market vehicles since 1996.

EU regulations mandated EOBD for gasoline vehicles (2001+) and diesel vehicles (2004+). Australia/New Zealand require OBD2 for petrol (2006+) and diesel (2007+) vehicles.

Limitations: Piston can only access data supported by your vehicle's OBD2 implementation.
