Le premier Tony Hawk's Pro Skater a été lancé le 29 septembre 1999, lançant ainsi une franchise à succès. Suite à la sortie en 2020 du THPS 1 2 remasterisé, les plans de remasterisation du THPS 3 4 étaient en cours mais ont finalement été abandonnés en raison de la fermeture de Vicarious Visions.
