A digital well-being live wallpaper that generates unique, evolving art.
This live wallpaper creates a circle wherever you touch the screen. A square then travels from your previous touch point to the new circle, leaving a visual trail behind it. After every 3600 squares, the screen refreshes completely while maintaining a total count of all squares drawn.
The 3600 squares serve as a visual metaphor for 3600 seconds, even though a swipe takes far less time. This offers a unique perspective on how we perceive time and creates a heat map of your most-used screen areas. The display format is as follows:
1d:13h:3600
squares
Feel free to experiment with different colors and patterns, but remember the core purpose: to encourage less screen time and more real-world, face-to-face interaction.
This application was developed using APDE (Android Processing Development Environment) and packaged with Processing 3.5.3.
