Stargazing just got easier with Astroweather! This astronomy and weather toolkit provides weather forecasts specifically tailored for astronomical observation.

Astroweather leverages data from 7timer.org, enhancing it with astronomical weather predictions and precise sunset/sunrise, moonrise/moonset times.

The web-based meteorological forecasts primarily utilize the NOAA/NCEP Global Forecast System (GFS) numerical weather model.

7Timer!, the foundation of Astroweather, launched in July 2005 as a research project supported by the National Astronomical Observatories of China. Subsequently upgraded in 2008 and 2011, it's currently backed by the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Its creation stemmed from the founder's personal frustration with unpredictable weather impacting stargazing.
